READ THIS STATEMENT: Maintaining our reputation as a strong, ethical and trustworthy partner is essential to our continued success. We go to great lengths to make sure we treat everyone fairly and ethically. We do not, and will not, steal ideas, innovations, inventions, etc. from others.
All of this being said we see and have seen many, many different ideas and concepts for tools and devices. We have also done vast research on product ideas and concepts. While there is a huge amount of potential for us to partner with inventors to bring products to market , there is also great risk to our company. When we couple our litigious society with the passion most inventors have for their products it creates a delicate situation that must be carefully handled. Therefore we need to take every precaution to ensure that potential inventors understand both the risks and the rewards of the partnering model. We also protect ourselves as well.
Please understand we very much want to review your products for potential partnership with IDL Tools but we also require you to agree to certain terms of the disclosure for our protection. We will provide you a confidentiality agreement to provide you protection (which we always recommend you obtain from anyone that sees your product idea) but it also protects us from the possibility that we have either seen the idea or a similar one before or we are already working on developing a similar or potentially competing product.
